Hogwarts' Class of 1978 has just graduated, and that means it's recruiting season. The Dark Rising is, well.... rising, and war is brewing in the Wizarding World. Each side, seeking strength in numbers, is eager to add the fresh crop of Hogwarts graduates to its ranks.
The Ministry is struggling to maintain their official facade that nothing is wrong, even as they encourage graduates to join the Aurors or the Hit Wizard Squad. The Death Eaters' attacks are growing bolder each day, and their ranks continue to swell. The Order of the Phoenix is seriously outnumbered. Worse, while they have found many new recruits, most of them are barely of age, with no lack of enthusiasm but a severe lack of fighting experience.
Of course, some witches and wizards are choosing to remain neutral and keep their heads down, hoping to just survive the storm. But, with every passing day, the neutral ground gets smaller and smaller. Lines are being drawn. Important choices are being made. Sooner or later, everyone will have to take a stand as the Wizarding World grows more dangerous each day.
